Our client – a private international school is looking for qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Head of HR.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all aspects of HR in the organization
  • Developing and control the budget for HR (payroll, recruitment, T&D, etc.)
  • Managing the recruitment and selection process including hiring of the local and foreign candidates, working closely with Universities to attract talented graduates.
  • Developing HR policies and procedures, including review and updating of personnel manuals for national and international staff
  • Preparing and maintaining the staff salary budget in liaison with Chief Finance Officer; specifically, reviewing and calculating compensation and benefits.
  • Maintaining the budget headcount control.
  • Developing the process of and overseeing the implementation of a performance management system for all support staff
  • Assessing training needs to apply and monitor training programmes.
  • Liaising with principals in maintaining the professional development system for international teaching staff and providing support where required.
  • Arranging staff social activities and being responsible for developing and implementing a staff recognition and motivation programs in coordination with both the educational and the operational departments
  • Developing the school HR branding strategy in collaboration with Marketing Manager
  • Creating and regularly updating an “Employee Value Proposition”
  • Liaising with the HR community (local and regional) and Universities to build the Company’s employer brand
  • Organizing all personnel documentation process and reporting
  • Being responsible for cooperation with suppliers (medical insurance companies, visa centres, etc)
  • Monitoring HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates and cost-per-hire)
  • Ensure effective internal communications, nurturing a positive working environment
  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing concerns or other issues.
  • Coordinate the work of HR team (3 employees).

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ years of proven working experience in HR, 1+ years of people management experience
  • Knowledge of HR systems and processes, tech savviness
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Internationally minded and respectful of all cultures
  • Professional, friendly and polite at all times
  • Strong Leadership and conflict management skills
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Fluent English
